CDSK implements the Child Empowerment Programme [CEP] in partnership with Liliane Fonds towards the realization of inclusive education. The Child Empowerment Programme (CEP) seeks to address the impairments of children with disabilities to a functional state and strives to create a barrier-free environment to enable them to realize their rights and have equal opportunities in life. Herein, children with disabilities between the ages of 0-25 years are supported through a network of 40 local Partner Organisations (POs) in 37 counties in Kenya.
CEP is anchored on three pillars namely: –
International Classification of Functioning, Health and Disability
United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (UNCRC) and United Nations Convention of the Rights for Persons with Disability (UNCRPD)
Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
